WIPO ASSIGNS PATENT FOR "NETWORK DART GAME SYSTEM FOR SELECTING PLAYERS, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME" (SOUTH KOREAN INVENTOR)

Title of the invention: "NETWORK DART GAME SYSTEM FOR SELECTING PLAYERS, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME."

According to the abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "The present invention relates to an electronic dart gaming apparatus using an Internet communication network and to a method for same, and more particularly, to an electronic dart gaming apparatus using an Internet communication network and to a method for same which notify of various contests and provide ways of directly participating in the contests using a plurality of electronic dart gaming apparatuses connected through an Internet communication network without additional notification means such as a homepage or the like. A method for participating in a contest using dart gaming apparatuses connected to a server through a network according to the present invention comprises: an information input step of taking, as an input, player information on players wishing to participate in a contest, and contest information on the contest in which the players wish to participate, using dart gaming apparatuses; an information-transmitting step in which the dart gaming apparatuses transmit player information and contest information to a server; a payment-processing step in which the dart gaming apparatuses take, as an input, a participation fee; and a player registration step in which the server registers the player for the contest."
