VIC: Prisoner arrested in Ascot Vale
MELBOURNE, Feb 8 AAP - A prison escapee is back in jail after an off-duty police sergeantspotted him driving a car in Melbourne's western suburbs yesterday.
David Blyth, 29, was arrested when the car he was driving was intercepted in AscotVale at around 3.30pm (AEDT) yesterday, police said.
Blyth was serving time for armed robbery.
On January 9, Blyth apparently did not return to the cells following a day release.
